This blog is a personal record of my natural ice skating in Otago - it is not ice reports (or recommendations) as such - although I do talk about conditions - but don't take this as 'safe' to skate. I enjoy the adventure of seeking out ice and the chance of a skate.
Great place for ice reports is the Aardwolfs web site or Otago Natural Ice on Facebook.
I only skate on natural ice and have been doing so regularly since 1995 and was meaning to create a record but finally started with this blog in 2010. Eventually I will add media from the past.
